biography

I'm a writer & teacher from the Southside of Glasgow. I teach English full-time & spend the rest of my days writing, reading, & hanging out with my partner Zoe & our cat Ivy. 

I received an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow in 2021 & am currently a Scottish Book Trust New Writer Awardee. 

I have been published in a number of magazines & anthologies, including Gutter, SPAM Zine, Stone of Madness Press, The Common Breath's 'Middle of a Sentence', From Glasgow to Saturn & New Writing Scotland.

'Institutions' is a novel set in 1972 in the West of Scotland. The book explores themes of power, love, & discrimination through the characters’ interactions with each other & the institutions they find themselves caught inside.
